2016 is a very special year for our school, all the students are in a great fase of Capoeira Development.
The games are very solid but still… a long way to go.

For us, every CORDA has it significance and the goal of this year is to ensure that, all students are representing that CORDA and at the same time keep developing to the next corda. For us to be on the same page we will be sending little descrition, of the students belts and it’s significance.

CORDA AMARELA!!!
(Crua e Amarela - Amarela - Amarela e Laranja)

Corda AMAREALA - Represent “gold” to recognise the value of apprendship.
Your whole Capoera Base will come from the yellow Belt, it includes Crua e Amarela - Amarela - Amamarela e Laranja,
it is important to value and dedicate to the basics of Capoeira.

Developing the strength, coordination, power, musicality and the flexibility you will need for the next belts, after the yellow Cord you won’t catch up on the basics as much anymore, so make sure you get this right during the AMARELA fase of your life!!!

A Corda Amarela Should develop:

• A good Ginga ( using Cadeira and the right swing of the arms)
• Know to to perform all the kicks with strength hight and amplitude.
• Play a confident game of Sao Bento Grande ( respond to attacks and conter attacks)
• Understand Flows and connection and the floor
• Understand the function and intentions of every game but specially Sao bento grande ( Sao bento grande is the Basics it self, if you have a understanding of sao bento grande, chances are you understand every capoeira Game)
